ABOUT ODISHA TENNIS PREMIER LEAGUE

Initiated by Neelachal Sports Foundation, OTPL started in 2017 with zeal not only to promote this world sport but also to give wings to many young tennis players of Odisha, give them a chance to learn the tricks of the trade and polish their Tennis skills. 8 teams formed with a mix of amateurs and professional players, from different districts of Odisha battle it out to lift the OTPL Trophy.

Odisha Tennis Premier League (OTPL) is back with a bang with its 2nd edition. Professional players of International Tennis Federation (ITF) and All India Tennis Association (AITA) are clubbed with budding Tennis players of Odisha. The platform is set. It is time to witness their talent.

2nd Edition of Odisha Tennis Premier League (OTPL) is pledged to promote the growth and popularity of the sport of Tennis. This year many high ranked professional players of International Tennis Federation (ITF) and All India Tennis Association (AITA) clubbed with budding Tennis players of Odisha state providing them with a platform to not only showcase their talents but also a chance to learn from the seniors and polish their own game.

OTPL is the brainchild of Neelachal Sports Foundation. The foundation has introduced a new model in the state of Odisha with a great prospect for the future of budding Tennis Talents of the state by introducing the concept of organizing Odisha Tennis Premier League (OTPL) – Biggest Tennis Tournament of Odisha so far.

The 1st edition was held in 19-23 November 2017 with great enthusiasm and fanfare. It was well accepted by the tennis enthusiasts and was widely acclaimed by government, media, sports fraternity and public at large. The success of the 1st Edition encouraged the organizers to come forward with current edition with greater zeal and vigor.

Neelachal Sports Foundation is planning to hosts such events at regular intervals in different part of India to promote the sports among the children, youth, and all the age group of society and sponsor the economically weaker section, young talented players to improve in the game of sports.
